A few little details
We’re here to help you feel comfortable with your choice.
What is the difference between a manicure and a refill?
+
The manicure applies builder gel to a bare nail. The refill rebalances the gel already there as your own nail grows out.
How long does it last?
+
Builder gel is maintained rather than replaced, so it stays on between visits. We recommend a refill every three to four weeks. Leaving it longer means more regrowth to rebalance.
Will it damage my natural nails?
+
Damage comes from over-filing and aggressive removal, not from the treatment. Applied and taken off carefully, builder gel adds strength while your own nail grows underneath.
Can I choose a gel colour?
+
Yes. Gel polish is optional with both appointments, including a colour change at your refill.
Which appointment should I book?
+
Book the builder gel manicure for your first application if your nails are bare. Book the builder gel refill if you already have builder gel on. Call the salon if you are not sure.
Why does it cost what it does?
+
Your appointment is a time slot set aside for you, not a slot we hope to get you through. That is most of the difference.
The rest is the preparation and the products: trained technicians, tools sterilised in a medical-grade autoclave between clients, and brands we choose for how they treat your nails rather than what they cost us.
